Fossil Walrus Ivory & Baltic Amber Necklace by Robert
Kanalse. Item measures 15 ¼” necklace, made
with 24 faceted Baltic amber beads and fossil walrus ivory
beaver, bird and frog fetishes with large (3”x 1 ½”)
fossil ivory hand motif central pendant.

Coiled Salish basketry container, in a rectanglular squared
shape, with a more narrow base; design consists of sparse
rows of small embricated cream squares, with dark sides throughout
the surface. Origin: Salish, Size: 18” across at top
x 12” high.

Late
19th century Plains Indian Dolls. Bodies are hand made of
stuffed muslin cloth, with hide for head, hands and feet.
Hand stitched with cotton cord; faces are hand painted. Man
is wearing faded red cotton shirt, white leggings, beaded
moccasins and sash of braided yarn; cotton string hair, measures
11” high. Woman is wearing dark plains style dress with
beadwork, red leggings, beaded moccasins and waist sash of
braided yarn, and a hide and beadwork choker. Woman measures
10¾”. Provenance: Puchased 1993 from Will Channing.
